OT Technician

Job Summary:

The OT Technician is responsible for preparing the operation theatre, arranging surgical instruments and equipment, assisting surgeons and nurses during procedures, and maintaining sterile conditions to ensure safe and efficient surgical operations.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Prepare the OT before each procedure, ensuring all equipment, instruments, and supplies are sterilized and arranged as per surgical requirements.
• Assist surgeons and nursing staff during surgeries by providing instruments and maintaining a sterile field.
• Operate and maintain OT equipment such as suction machines, cautery, endoscopes, and anesthesia equipment.
• Follow infection control protocols and maintain strict aseptic techniques.
• Handle and label surgical specimens appropriately and ensure proper documentation.
• Assist in patient positioning and transfer before and after surgery.
• Ensure timely sterilization of instruments and maintain sterilization records.
• Support in cleaning and turnover of the OT between procedures.

Qualification:

• Diploma in OT Technology / Certificate in OT Assistant / B.Sc. OT Technology
• Valid training or certification in sterile techniques preferred

Experience:

• 1–5 years of experience in Operation Theatre settings (General / Ortho / Gynae / ENT / etc.)

Skills Required:

• Knowledge of surgical instruments and OT protocols
• Understanding of sterilization & infection control
• Attention to detail and quick response ability
• Teamwork and coordination with doctors and nursing staff
• Good communication and patient handling skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20, ₹40,000.00 per month
