Reports To: Project Manager

Job Summary

We are looking for a Backend Developer with 57 years of experience who can design, develop, and manage scalable backends for SaaS-based web and mobile applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in , MongoDB, and PostgreSQL, along with experience in building, integrating, and optimizing GraphQL and RESTful APIs. The role also requires team leadership, hands-on experience in API security, performance optimization, and proficiency in using project management tools for task tracking, assignments, and PR reviews.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a small team of backend developers focused on scalable SaaS product development.
  • Design, build, and maintain backends and GraphQL/RESTful APIs for web and mobile platforms.
  • Manage API authentication, authorization, and security (JWT, OAuth2, API Keys).
  • Work with MongoDB and PostgreSQL databases for data modeling, performance tuning, and query optimization.
  • Collaborate with frontend teams (React, React Native) to ensure seamless integration and data flow.
  • Develop and maintain SaaS and CMS integrations using backend services.
  • Build and extend reusable modules, plugins, and service components to accelerate development.
  • Track, assign, and monitor tasks via PMS tools (Jira).
  • Conduct code reviews, approve PRs, and manage version control workflows (Git).
  • Ensure backend documentation, architecture diagrams, and API schemas are always updated.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute actively to sprint planning and delivery.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 57 years of professional experience in backend development and API integrations.
- Strong hands-on expertise in , , MongoDB, and PostgreSQL.
- Proficiency in GraphQL (Apollo) and RESTful API development.
- Solid understanding of API security, rate limiting, and data protection best practices.
- Experience building and managing SaaS-based products and CMS platforms.
- Familiarity with reusable libraries, microservices architecture, and scalable backend design.
- Strong knowledge of Git workflows (branching, PR reviews, merges).
- Skilled in using PMS tools (Jira) for project tracking and sprint management.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Experience
- Experience with microservices or serverless architectures (AWS Lambda, GCP Functions).
- Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployments.
