Senior Geophysicist/Geologist

We expect you to have a background as geophysicist or geologist with strong knowledge of geophysical methods. Knowledge of acquisition, processing and processing of either of the following (not necessarily all) is an advantage. For this role, we believe your starting point is:

• Multi Beam Echo Sounder (MBES)
• Side Scan Sonar (SSS)
• Magnetometer/gradiometer (MAG)
• Sub Bottom Profiler (SBP)
• Single (SBP) and or Multichannel Seismic (MCS)
• Refraction and Reflection seismic
• Electrical Resistivity Tomography (ERT)
• Ground penetration radar (GPR)

Knowledge to some of the following software is likewise an advantage but not prerequisite for applying for the position:

• Sonarwis
• Kingdom suite
• Oasis Montaj
• GlobalMapper
• ArcGIS

You should have a creative personality. Knowledge of programming is relevant, and you should be able to see possibilities in optimizing your workflows using programming and AI.

Qualification

Experience:

• BSc. in Geology/ Geophysics or Geosciences & M.Tech/ MSc degree in Geology/ Geophysics or Geosciences.
• Should have years of experience in the geophysics/ geoscience domain.
• Professional English language skills (written and verbal).
• Proficiency in Knowledge of VBA/ Python scripting/Automation will be an added advantage.

Possess excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken).

• Have knowledge of several geophysical methods as stated above.
• Are outgoing and have a proactive and energetic approach.
• Curious to continuously develop within the field of geophysics and seek to develop and improve your skills expertise.
• The position as Geophysicists will require working with many different disciplines across the Ramboll organization and good abilities for cooperation and communication is thus necessary.
• We expect you to set high standards for the services we provide for our clients and business partners.
