We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Apigee Developer to join our team. As a Senior Apigee Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining our Apigee API platforms. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, design API solutions, and implement them using Apigee Edge.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure Apigee API platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective API solutions.
  • Implement API proxies, security measures, and policies using Apigee Edge.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues in the API infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather feedback and continuously improve the API design and functionality.
  • Optimize API performance and scalability by implementing best practices and leveraging caching and load balancing techniques.
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in API management, Apigee, and related technologies.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers, sharing best practices and promoting knowledge sharing within the team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as an Apigee Developer, with a strong understanding of API design and development.
  • Solid knowledge of Apigee Edge and its components, including API proxies, policies, and analytics.
  • Proficiency in implementing security measures such as OAuth, JWT, and encryption within Apigee Edge.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful API principles and best practices.
  • Experience with API management tools and technologies.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex API-related issues.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Apigee certification(s) or relevant certifications in API management.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python) for API customization and automation.
