We are looking for a Mobile and Solutions Architect with a passion for IoT. You will gain exposure as well as hands on experience supporting Ayla's IoT platform and testing our customers' connected devices. You love the tech side but also like the thrill of working directly with customers. You are a curious self-learner who adapts quickly to new technology. You work well with other engineers, are an independent worker, but are not afraid to ask for help and direction.

What You Will Be Doing

• Bridge gaps between complex business problems and solutions
• Identify fit-for-purpose technologies
• Architect, design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable iOS and Android solutions that help unlock business value. Being totally hands-on, they should also be comfortable mentoring junior developers and reviews at every stage, accounting for any roadblocks and complexities.
• Designing components of IOT products and solutions and contributing beyond mobile development
• Provide technical leadership and to our partners and internal teams
• Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs
• Understand and communicate nuances of business requirements, functionality, and maintenance requirements and Lead entire Software Development Life Cycle and solution documentation.
• Drive evaluation and learn new tools and technologies to keep technology stack modern as needed for the Product solution.
• Mentor other engineers within the team as well as partner with engineers across the supply chain to share successful architectural patterns
• Highly technical individual, preferably with leadership experience, possessing expertise and experience working across multiple components or one entire application.
• Facilitate organizational change and drive towards an industry leading mobile strategy
• Automate infrastructure and build pipelines for continuous integration and continuous deployment
• Create and update technical blueprints, architecture, design documents, etc. Document challenges, solutions approach, benefits, costs and risk.
• Design and maintain proper coding standards and ensured quality delivery. Prepare and implement multiple code review process within team before code check-in
• Architect and deploy cross platform hybrid mobile applications
• Play an advisory role to internal stake holders and provide thought leadership, process enhancement and automation recommendations
• SME and technical consultant to interact with business for design thinking sessions, solutioning, effort estimation, preparing mobile application architecture, defining mobile security, analytics, DevOps, and integration with Backend systems.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Around 15 years of experience - Mobile Architect with at least 10+ years of experience as a Mobile app developer and around 5+ years of being in hand's on architect's role.
• Having experience of developing mobile solutions and contrinuting to end to end IOT solutions
• Full knowledge of iOS & Android Phone Technologies including deep configuration, mobile payments, device integrations, Mobile Device Management, software design patterns etc.
• Experience leading, designing, architecting, deploying, and/or on-boarding private/hybrid/public cloud solutions leveraging technologies like OpenStack, Chef, Ansible, AngularJS, NoSQL database, web/app server
• Sound working knowledge of architecture & design patterns for mobile platforms such as MVC, MVVM, Viper & Clean Architecture
• Must be aware of basic computer science fundamentals related run-loops, cpu-cylces and threads.
• Must be able to review & optimize code for optimal performance while working with parameters such as memory usage, disk usage, pagination, disk-throttling, data-blobs etc
• Clear understanding of SWIFT compile-time & run-time proceses & capabilities.
• Clear understanding of SOLID prinicples and its application.
• Understaning of Data Structures, Algorithms, time & space complexity.
• Excellent debugging skills with working knowledge of tools such as allocations, leaks & memory graphs.
• Full knowledge of iOS Technologies including deep configuration, mobile payments, device integrations, Mobile Device Management, software design patterns etc.
• Sound knowledge of iOS & Android native design patterns
• Experience working with Swift, Objective-C, Kotlin, Java.
• Experience with Reactive programming for mobile platforms i.e. Rx-Swift, Rx-Kotlin
• Experience with designing end-to-end architectures for large scale enterprise solutions across disparate technologies.
• Have hands on knowledge of complete Mobile Application Development Life cycle from design thinking, requirement analysis, estimation, technical architecture, team ramp up, development, testing, integration, etc.
• Understanding of microservices, networking and key security concepts, agile methodology and DevOps tools and technologies
• Ready to work in a startup where you will be working in a lot of different technical areas, may wear many hats, and are prepared to tackle the unknown
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent professional experience or military experience.

Additional Requirements: Preferred

• Experience with AWS cloud solutions
• Experience with backend technologies like NodJS, and databases (MySQL/Postgres/Oracle/MongoDB), caches/search (Redis, Elastic Search etc).
• Experience with Analytics such as Google Analytics, Flurries etc.
• Knowledge of the web technology stack (TCP/IP, HTTP, HTML, JavaScript, RESTful APIs)
• Knowledge of cross platform technologies such as Flutter, ReactNative is good to have.
• Knowledge of Identity protocols (SAML, Kerberos, OAuth2, OpenID Connect etc.), enterprise & cloud identity management systems (e.g. Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, AWS IAM), Federated & SSO identity management stack is a plus
