Overview
Zendesk is seeking a Tax Specialist for India direct and indirect tax reporting and compliance. The role is primarily focused on the preparation of India tax reporting and supporting in tax audits and litigations. The role reports to the APAC Senior Tax Manager based in Singapore.

Job Description (includes, But Not Limited To)

• Prepare quarterly advance tax computations and ensure timely payment of taxes.
• Review annual income tax computations for India GAAP statutory filing.
• Prepare monthly TDS computations and reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly GST computations and reconciliations.
• Provide support with statutory audits, Form 3CEB filings etc.
• Assist in tax audits and litigations to manage tax notices and collate information from various stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on various matters related to tax.
• Support the team on ad hoc projects, as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CA or CPA preferred
• Minimum 4 years of tax experience in a Big 4 firm or multinational company
• Technically strong in India tax laws and rules
• Knowledge of CbCR compliance valued
• Understanding of US GAAP accounting appreciated
• Practical experience in tax automation project would be advantageous
• Working knowledge of tax software (e.g. ONESOURCE/ Longview) is a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
• Knowledge of a NetSuite preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with cross-functional teams in various different timezone(s).
• Strong time management skills and commitment to meeting timelines consistently

This role must attend our local office for part of the week. The specific in-office schedule is to be determined by the hiring manager.
