As a Finance and Commercial Manager for three units with a combined production capacity of 3,46,000 MT p.a. and a Sales Turnover of Rs.2,502 Crs, your role will be pivotal in overseeing the Finance, Accounting, and Commercial activities centralized at the Regional office in Gummidipoondi. Your main challenge will lie in accurately computing TDS deductions from employee salaries and ensuring the verification of investment documents for tax exemptions. Key Responsibilities: - Support the unit HR team by providing a detailed list of deductions from salaries for Loans & Advances and other deductions. - Validate tax deductions in Poornata through manual calculations. - Manually calculate Income tax deductions from salaries using Excel data. - Calculate perquisites for employee benefits and upload them in Poornata. - Verify employee declarations with supporting documents for investments and deductions. - Prepare quarterly TDS returns on salaries. - Book prepaid expenses on a monthly basis in the General Ledger Accounting system. - Create a monthly provision sheet based on inputs from unit teams. - Post JVs in SAP. - Process employee travel claims for all units except Corporate and Regional offices. - Monitor employee benefits such as loans, Car, and Furniture. - Prepare various statements for statutory and tax audits. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. - Strong knowledge of TDS regulations and tax compliance. - Proficiency in Excel and SAP. - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in calculations. - Prior experience in General Ledger Accounting and employee benefits management would be advantageous.
