Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions. The ideal candidate will work to ensure the accuracy of financial documents, compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and efficient recording and reporting of the company's financial position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and examine financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Manage all accounting transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting.
- Monitor financial performance by analyzing actual results with budget and forecasts.
- Support the annual audit process, liaising with internal and external auditors.
- Ensure timely and accurate tax filings (GST, TDS, Income Tax, etc.).
- Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain internal controls.
- Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and legislation.
Requirements and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CA/CPA/CMA preferred but not mandatory).
- Proven work experience as an Accountant or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices (GAAP or IFRS).
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups, pivot tables, etc.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
