Make Your Mark:
As a Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in building the next generation of BlackLine application and data platform with the focus on ERP data integration components.
You will be driving innovation into our product suite by designing, developing, troubleshooting, maintaining, optimizing and scaling cloud-based BlackLine connectors, components, services and frameworks, including but not limited to the use of ERP integration, Odata services, REST, SOAP, Event Bus, API Gateway, Job Scheduler, Identity Management, Search, Workflow Orchestration and Data Integration. In this role, you will research, test, benchmark and evaluate new technologies, propose scaling solutions, collaborate with other teams to define, and build new features, optimize existing features while writing elegant code, coaching, and mentoring less experienced software engineers and communicating with people at all levels. Your attention to detail, tenacity, creative problem-solving and thinking ahead will directly impact the company's success, as well as the success of your peers across the organization.

You'll Get To:
- Provide technical expertise in the design, development, and delivery of Blackline's products, while adhering to timelines, coding standards, requirements, and quality.
- Design, develop, test, troubleshoot, debug, optimize, scale, maintain and improve software applications, driving the delivery of high-quality value and features to Blackline's customers. Develop functional and technical specifications, and test plans. Review others' code. Develop and document functional and technical requirements. Collaborate with other team members and other teams on all the above.
- Design and follow coding standards, architectural plans, solve complex design and architectural problems, create robust architectural solutions.
- Implement, refine, and enforce software development techniques to ensure that delivered features meet software integration, performance, security, and maintainability expectations.
- Maintain high standards of software quality and technical excellence within the team by establishing good practices and habits and writing clean, testable, maintainable, and secure code.
- Proactively identify issues, bottlenecks, gaps, or other areas of concern or opportunity and work to either directly affect change, or advocate for that change by collaborating with peers and leadership to build consensus and act.
- Help in project planning by identifying cross-team dependencies and effort estimation.
- Perform critical maintenance, deployment, and release support activities, including occasional off-hours support.
- Adaptable team player with strong collaboration skills and a focus on results and value delivery.

What You'll Bring:
Education
:
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or related disciplines
Technical/Specialized Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and operation integrations, Software development, data integrations, usage of low-code/no-code integration platform or ETL platform, RESTful APIs, SOAP and microservices.
- Technical expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and operation, administration and integration
- Technical expertise in Microsoft Dynamics Business Central
- Proven experience with ERP data integration, API integrations
- Experienced in using low-code/no-code Integration Platform or ETL tools
- Superior analytical, problem-solving and system level performance analysis abilities.
- Experience with SQL, data modeling and transactional flows.
- Familiar with internet security issues in software design and code.
- A solid computer science foundation including data structures, algorithms, and design patterns, with a proven track record of writing high concurrency, multi-threaded, secure, scalable code.
- Fluent in the fundamental OO concepts of the Responsibility Driven Design (RDD), proven experience with designing own OO models, reusable components and frameworks.
- Experience with SaaS programming environment and service-oriented architecture.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Adaptable team player with strong collaboration skills and a focus on results and value delivery.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
- Passion for engineering excellence through automation, unit testing, and process improvements.
- FinTech or Financial services domain background
We're Even More Excited If You Have:
- Ruby on Rails development include but is not limited to: Ruby on Rails MVC Model, Ruby database connectivity
- Angular development includes but is not limited to: Microservice integration CRUD model, Angular screen design, re-use patterns in Angular, JavaScript or TypeScript
- OData and REST API
- Basic knowledge in Unix or Linux environments
- Experience with a public cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and good understanding of cloud-native services, is a plus
- Experience with container management solutions like Mesos, Kubernetes or Nomad, is a plus
- Experience in Test driven Design and Mocking concept
