Associate Leader-MiddlewareOverview The Associate Leader-Middleware plays a vital role in leading the middleware team and managing the middleware infrastructure. They are responsible for ensuring the seamless operation and support of middleware technologies to meet business needs and objectives.Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of middleware professionals
  • Oversee the design, configuration, and implementation of middleware solutions
  • Ensure the availability, performance, and security of middleware platforms
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define middleware requirements
  • Manage middleware projects and deliverables
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the team
  • Conduct performance analysis and troubleshooting of middleware systems
  • Develop and maintain middleware-related documentation
  • Implement best practices and standards for middleware operations
  • Participate in the evaluation and selection of middleware tools and technologies
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in middleware technology
  • Manage relationships with vendors and external service providers
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of middleware processes and capabilities
  • Support compliance and governance requirements for middleware operations
  • Ensure effective incident and change management for middleware systems
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 6+ years of experience in middleware administration and support
  • Proven experience in leading and managing a technical team
  • Strong knowledge of middleware technologies such as IBM WebSphere, Apache Tomcat, and JBoss
  • Proficiency in scripting languages and automation tools for middleware management
  • Experience with performance tuning and optimization of middleware systems
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a middleware environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Project management skills with the ability to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities for middleware-related issues
  • Certifications in middleware technologies (e.g., IBM Certified System Administrator - WebSphere)
  • Understanding of security practices and principles related to middleware
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies and their impact on middleware operations
  • Experience in implementing and managing middleware solutions in a hybrid IT environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on continuous improvement
