Sr Manager User Exp Design

Roles:

You will be responsible for HUE Design Studio for Performance Materials and Technologies (PMT) at Honeywell Technology Solutions Lab in India (HTS). As a design leader, you will lead a growing team of exceptional User Experience designers as you create the next generation of delightful solutions and portfolio of products to solve customer problems and to create branded, seamless experiences.

You will develop design capability and infrastructure in line with the business strategy. You will lead the recruitment and development of User Experience design talent, manage resources, operational plans and oversee project work. As such responsible for multidisciplinary competencies such as design research, experience design, interaction design, visual design and industrial design.

You are also responsible for successful and timely delivery of the design projects to support the business growth and enhance product value. In doing so, you will collaborate with other designers and researchers with interdisciplinary studios or external partners. The variety of our businesses and applications will challenge your creative talents and our global footprint will expose you to diverse cultures and developing markets.

Additionally, as part of the PMT-HUE leadership team, you will help to define our growing User Experience design expertise and set creative direction with strategic design partners. You will deploy and contribute to regional and global HUE strategy, including global 'Design Language System', 'outcome driven design thinking' and design for an end to end customer experience.

You will be part of global HUE leadership team as well as management team at HTS-PMT Engineering.

Job Responsibilities:

• Leading and growing multi-disciplinary User Experience Design team in the Bangalore Design Studio.
• Driving 2-3 high innovative offerings based on UX approach.
• Working closely with PMT Global Experience Design teams to implement a design strategy for PMT that aligns with corporate objectives. Contributing to HUE best practices for User Experience Design throughout the product development process.
• Participating as a decision maker for design at project reviews. Provide a clear, consistent perspective on progressive User Experience Design to project teams and stakeholders.
• Creating and executing human-centered designs that differentiate our brands in the marketplace around the world. Ability to apply, build and grow Honeywell Design Language System, our brand identity program.
• Recruiting, developing and managing User Experience Design resources for the studio
• Collaborating with other global design studios and business units to promote an Esprit de Corps for a growing world-class organization.
• Contribute to management updates, operational reviews and leadership dialogue at HUE Global Leadership and HTS India Leadership.
• Collaborate with all the Honeywell functions who interact with customers during their journey. Establish a framework for regular usability testing across all products, ensuring dedicated UX researchers and usability testing experts are embedded in each studio.
• Identify opportunities for improving UX/HUE designers in data visualization techniques to improve the interpretability of information through design.
• Oversee co-creation workshops with end users (not paying customers) to inform the development of new products and services
• Promote an end-to-end user experience strategy that extends beyond core offerings, ensuring a holistic user experience across all product touchpoints
• Demonstrated research skills across qualitative and quantitative methods. Promote system thinking and storytelling techniques among key designers to align product vision with user needs.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's/Master's degree or equivalent from, an institute of repute, in design, human factors, or related discipline.
• 12 or more years of experience in User Experience design of products and software applications. Experience working with an Agile environment and lean UX methodologies.
• Design language strategy with exposure on UX Design Methodologies, User Interface design, Figma, Creativity & Visualization and Interactive designs etc
• Ability to translate complex vision into an understandable concept and workable design story & ability to influence with design, software, hardware, and development teams during early stage of development lifecycle.
• International experience working with regional businesses and design teams.

- Demonstrated experience scoping, planning and executing projects in accordance with an iterative development process.
- Adept at facilitating and guiding design research and design thinking workshops. Experience in design strategy, both short-term trends and long term vision and how they apply to brand and product planning.
- Experience creating low-fidelity to high-fidelity prototypes.
- Excellent communication, presentation skills and ability to articulate design intent.
- Experience in directing and managing external design and development firms.
