• Perform daily microbiological analysis of food, water, and environmental samples.
• Conduct testing for pathogens such as Salmonella, Listeria, E. coli, Yeasts & Molds, etc.
• Perform allergen testing (e.g., gluten, peanut, soy, etc.) using ELISA or PCR-based methods.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including PCR machines, incubators, autoclaves, biosafety cabinets, etc.
• Prepare culture media, reagents, and maintain proper documentation of all lab activities.
• Follow aseptic techniques and maintain a sterile working environment to prevent contamination.
• Review and record test results accurately and report deviations or anomalies to the Lab Supervisor.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 17025, FSSAI, and other relevant food safety and laboratory standards.
• Participate in proficiency testing (PT) and quality control activities.
• Calibrate and verify instruments as per SOPs and maintain equipment logs.
• Maintain proper sample tracking, labeling, and storage
• Support method validation and research activities, if required.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Microbiology, Food Technology, or a related field.
• 13 years of experience in a food microbiology lab preferred.
• Familiarity with microbiological techniques, allergen testing, and molecular methods (e.g., PCR).
• Strong understanding of food safety standards and laboratory best practices.
• Good documentation, organizational, and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
