Role Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented GST Reconciliation Team Lead to oversee end-to-end GST reconciliation activities and ensure full compliance with tax regulations. The role involves leading a team of reconciliation professionals, managing client interactions, resolving discrepancies, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely completion of all statutory requirements. The position also requires strong coordination across internal teams and external stakeholders to drive accuracy and efficiency in GST operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the GST reconciliation team to ensure accurate and timely reconciliations.

  • Oversee compliance with GST laws, rules, and regulations.

  • Review and resolve mismatches or discrepancies between GSTR-2A/2B and purchase data.

  • Liaise with clients and internal teams to address queries and ensure smooth communication.

  • Maintain proper documentation and audit trails for all reconciliation activities.

  • Monitor statutory deadlines and ensure adherence to compliance calendars.

  • Prepare and present periodic MIS reports and reconciliation summaries to management.

  • Support automation and process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field (CA/Inter CA preferred).

  • Proven experience in GST reconciliation and compliance.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve data discrepancies.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client and team management.

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in supervising a team.

  • Proficient in MS Excel and accounting/tax software tools.

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple deadlines effectively.

  • Customer service mindset with a focus on accuracy and timely delivery.
