We're seeking a talented Robotics Engineer to join our team and bring our curriculum projects to life. This role is ideal for someone with a blend of electronics, mechanical design, and programming skills who enjoys creating educational content that sparks curiosity in young learners.

Key Responsibilities

- Project Development and Prototyping: Design, build, and prototype robotics projects as outlined in our curriculum, including beginner-level electronics (e.g., Cyclone LED Game, Alarm Clock), intermediate robots (e.g., Robot Arm, Monster Truck), and advanced AI-integrated systems (e.g., AI Security System, Robot Dog). Ensure projects are functional, user-friendly, and suitable for students with enclosures for daily use.

- Electronics and Hardware Design: Perform soldering, PCB design, and circuit assembly for project kits. Select and integrate components like sensors, microcontrollers (e.g., Arduino/ESP32), LEDs, motors, and audio/wireless modules while ensuring safety and reliability for educational purposes.

- Software Development: Write clean, well-documented code to control project functionality, including automation logic, sensor integration, game mechanics, and basic AI features. Code should be beginner-friendly for students to modify and learn from.

- Mechanical Design and Enclosures: Use CAD software to design custom casings and enclosures for projects, ensuring they are durable, aesthetically appealing, and easy to assemble. Prepare designs for 3D printing or manufacturing.

- Testing and Iteration: Thoroughly test prototypes for functionality, durability, and educational value.

- Documentation and Support: Create detailed assembly instructions, video tutorial scripts, and troubleshooting guides for the online learning portal. Assist in preparing kit materials and provide input on curriculum refinements.

- Collaboration: Work closely with the curriculum team to align projects with learning objectives (e.g., teaching electronics fundamentals, coding, CAD, and AI concepts). Participate in weekly remote support sessions for subscribers as needed.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in electronics, including soldering, PCB design (using tools like KiCad or Eagle), and circuit prototyping.

  • Strong programming skills in languages like C/C++ for microcontrollers (Arduino IDE experience preferred), Python for AI/ML integrations, and basic scripting.

  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Fusion 360, SolidWorks, or Tinkercad) for mechanical design and 3D modeling.

  • Familiarity with robotics components such as servos, DC motors, sensors (light, motion, etc.), Bluetooth modules, and AI tools (e.g., computer vision with OpenCV).

- Experience in creating hands-on projects or tutorials for learners, ideally in STEM education. Ability to simplify complex concepts for middle/high school students.

  • 2+ years in robotics, electronics engineering, or a related field. Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent. Portfolio of personal or professional robotics projects is highly desirable.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and creativity in designing engaging, functional projects. Excellent communication skills for documentation and potential student interactions.

  • Comfortable working with free/open-source tools (e.g., Arduino IDE, Git for version control).

  • Other: Must have a reliable internet for remote work. Passion for education and mentoring young innovators.
