SAP DMC Technical Consultant

Job Summary :We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP DMC Technical Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the technical implementation, configuration, and support of SAP Digital Manufacturing Cloud (DMC) solutions. You will work closely with functional consultants, business analysts, and clients to translate business requirements into robust and scalable DMC solutions.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of SAP DMC architecture, excellent technical skills, and a passion for driving digital transformation in manufacturing. Responsibilities :SAP DMC Implementation and Configuration :

• Design, configure, and implement SAP DMC modules, including Production Execution, Quality Management, and Performance Management.
• Develop and maintain technical specifications, configuration guides, and system documentation.
• Configure and customize DMC functionalities to meet specific business requirements.
• Implement and configure integrations between SAP DMC and other SAP systems , S/4HANA, ME, MII) and external systems.
• Ensure adherence to SAP DMC best practices and standards.

Technical Development and Customization :

• Develop custom extensions and enhancements for SAP DMC using relevant development tools and technologies (e.g, JavaScript, APIs).
• Design and implement custom dashboards and reports using DMC's analytics capabilities.
• Develop and maintain custom integrations with shop floor devices and equipment (e.g, PLCs, sensors).
• Create and maintain technical documentation for custom developments.

System Integration and Data Management :

• Design and implement data interfaces and data mapping between SAP DMC and other systems.
• Ensure data integrity and consistency across integrated systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data integration issues.
• Develop and maintain data migration strategies and scripts.

Testing and Quality Assurance :

• Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and system tests for SAP DMC solutions.
• Perform code reviews and ensure code quality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during testing and implementation.
• Ensure adherence to quality assurance standards and procedures.

Technical Support and Maintenance :

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for SAP DMC systems.
• Resolve incidents and service requests in a timely and efficient manner.
• Perform system monitoring and performance tuning.
• Implement system upgrades and patches.
• Provide on-call support as needed.

Collaboration and Communication :

• Collaborate with functional consultants, business analysts, and clients to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Participate in project planning, design reviews, and status meetings.
• Contribute to team knowledge sharing and best practices.

Continuous Learning :

• Stay up-to-date with the latest SAP DMC technologies and best practices.
• Research and evaluate new tools and technologies.
• Participate in training and professional development activities.

Qualifications :Education :

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience :

• 7years of experience as an SAP DMC Technical Consultant or similar role.
• Proven experience in implementing and configuring SAP DMC modules.
• Experience with SAP integration technologies (e.g, APIs, IDocs, Web Services).
• Experience with JavaScript and other relevant development tools.
• Experience with database management and SQL.Technical Skills :
• Strong understanding of SAP DMC architecture and functionalities.
• Expertise in configuring and customizing SAP DMC modules.
• Proficiency in JavaScript and other relevant programming languages.
• Experience with SAP integration technologies.
• Knowledge of database management and SQL.
• Familiarity with shop floor equipment and industrial automation technologies is a plus.
• Understanding of cloud-based platforms and services.
