Senior Actuarial - Annuities Modeling (BAU)

Role Overview

The company is seeking an experienced actuarial leader to oversee BAU modeling activities for its Life & Annuities practice supporting a major US client. The role involves managing annuity model development in Moody's AXIS, driving model enhancements, and ensuring accurate, reliable outputs across valuation and financial reporting needs. The resource will lead a modeling team, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and ensure strong governance and delivery of actuarial modeling initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead BAU annuities modeling activities using Moody's AXIS.
  • Oversee model development, maintenance, and enhancements aligned with L&A requirements.
  • Ensure accurate model runs and results to support valuation, pricing, and financial reporting.
  • Manage and mentor a team of actuarial modelers, ensuring high-quality delivery.
  • Conduct model validations, assumptions updates, and sensitivity/scenario analyses.
  • Maintain comprehensive model documentation and strengthen governance frameworks.
  • Collaborate with client teams, actuarial leadership, and cross-functional groups across geographies.
  • Provide insights to improve efficiency, accuracy, and modeling best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 12–15 years of experience in Life & Annuities actuarial modeling.
  • Minimum qualification:
    Fellow
    of a recognized actuarial body.
  • Minimum
    3 years of hands-on experience with Moody's AXIS
    .
  • Strong understanding of annuity product mechanics, actuarial assumptions, and projection methodologies.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management experience.
  • Experience in BAU modeling processes, governance, and controls.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with global teams and manage complex deliverables.
