Job Summary:
The Infrastructure Cloud Operations Support Engineer is responsible for maintaining and optimizing our cloud infrastructure across Azure and AWS platforms. The role involves troubleshooting issues, managing service requests, and ensuring the efficient operation of cloud-based systems. The ideal candidate will have a solid technical foundation, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and experience working in a global team environment. Familiarity with ServiceNow and ticket queue management is essential for this position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Cloud Infrastructure Support:
o Provide day-to-day support and administration of cloud infrastructure on Azure and AWS.
o Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to cloud services, ensuring minimal downtime.
o Monitor system performance, security, and availability, addressing any anomalies promptly.
·
Incident and Request Management:
o Manage and resolve incidents and service requests through the ServiceNow platform.
o Ensure timely response and resolution to tickets, adhering to service level agreements (SLAs).
o Document and escalate complex issues to senior engineers or the Cloud Operations Manager as needed.
·
Operational Tasks:
o Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as system updates, patches, and backups.
o Assist in the deployment and configuration of cloud resources and services.
o Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning and execution.
·
Collaboration and Team Support:
o Collaborate with global IT teams to ensure a cohesive approach to cloud operations.
o Participate in team meetings, providing input and suggestions for process improvements.
o Contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives and documentation efforts.
·
Continuous Improvement and Automation:
o Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency improvements in cloud operations.
o Implement scripts and tools to streamline routine tasks and improve operational workflows.
o Stay current with industry trends and best practices in cloud technologies and operations.
· Security and Compliance:
o Ensure compliance with security policies and standards in cloud environments.
o Assist in the implementation of security measures and monitoring systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in cloud operations, with hands-on experience in Azure and AWS.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar IT service management (ITSM) tools.
- Experience with ticket queue management and incident resolution processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a global team.
Preferred Skills:
- Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation purposes.
- Understanding of ITIL processes and best practices.
- Familiarity with cloud security principles and compliance standards.
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to work in a typical office setting.
· Occasional travel may be required.
