We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Developer with deep expertise in IFS Assyst to join our IT team. In this role, you will design, develop, and implement solutions within the IFS Assyst platform to enhance IT Service Management (ITSM) capabilities. You will collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, efficient, and business-aligned solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, customization, and development of solutions within IFS Assyst.
  • Configure and enhance workflows, forms, service catalog items, automation scripts, and integrations.
  • Work closely with ITSM and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Implement system upgrades, patches, and enhancements while ensuring minimal disruption.
  • Develop and maintain APIs, connectors, and third-party system integrations.
  • Ensure code quality, documentation, and adherence to best practices.
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.
  • Troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and resolve defects in a timely manner.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 6+ years of overall software development experience, with at least 3+ years working on IFS Assyst(customization, configuration, and integration).
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL processes and how they align with IFS Assyst.

  • Hands-on experience with:

  • Assyst Service Designer, Workflow Builder, and Form Designer

  • JavaScript, SQL, XML, REST/SOAP APIs

  • System integrations with enterprise tools (ERP, HR, CRM, Monitoring tools, etc.)

  • Familiarity with cloud deployments and IT infrastructure environments.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • IFS Assyst certifications (developer/administrator).
  • Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and version control (Git).
  • Exposure to enterprise ITSM tools beyond IFS Assyst (ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, Cherwell, etc.).
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python.
