Video Editor

Job Description:

A video editor is responsible for assembling, editing, and manipulating recorded video footage to create a final product that aligns with the desired vision and objectives. Also responsible for incorporating visually appealing motion graphics into them. This role requires a combination of technical skills and creativity to produce engaging and professional visual content.

Job Title: Video Editor Responsibilities:

• Edit raw video footage to create polished and cohesive videos, ensuring a smooth flow, proper pacing, and seamless transitions.

• Trim, splice, and rearrange clips to enhance storytelling and create compelling narratives.

• Select and integrate suitable background music, voiceovers, and sound effects to enhance the overall video quality.

• Color correction and grading to ensure consistency and visual appeal.
• Enhance video quality by adjusting brightness, contrast, saturation, and other visual parameters.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide creative input.

• Create visually stunning Motion Graphics, Text animations, and Visual effects to enhance videos and make them more engaging.

• Design and animate titles, lower thirds, transitions, and other graphic elements.

• Stay updated with industry trends and techniques related to Video editing and motion. Software Proficiency:

• Proficient in using industry-standard video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.

• Expertise in motion graphics software like Adobe After Effects or Blender.

• Familiarity with video encoding, compression, and delivery formats for various platforms (e.g., YouTube, social media, broadcast).

• Expertise in Haygen, AI Avatar Building, and Runway ML, Veo 3.

• Ability to create high-engagement reels for YouTube Shorts & Instagram.

• Expected output: 23 reels daily (30 sec each).

• Willingness to explore and adapt to new AI tools.

• Technical Platforms: Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, Cap Cut, Runway ML, Veo 3, Haygen, Descript, Pictor AI, Midjourney/Stable Diffusion (for visual assets).

• Collaborate with the creative team, including Head Creatives, Content writers, Marketing Team and other stakeholders, to understand project objectives and requirements.

• Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop creative ideas and concepts.

• Communicate effectively and present ideas to team members and clients. Organization and Time Management:

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines.

• Organize and maintain a well-structured library of digital assets, including video footage, graphics, and audio files.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in film production, video editing, motion graphics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Proven work experience as a video editor and motion graphics artist, with a portfolio demonstrating your skills and creativity.

• Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Avid Media Composer).

• Strong knowledge of motion graphics software (e.g., Adobe After Effects, Cinema 4D, Autodesk Maya).

• Solid understanding of video production processes, including shooting, lighting, and audio recording.

• Knowledge of video codecs, formats, and compression techniques for various platforms.

• Strong attention to detail, visual storytelling skills, and a keen eye for aesthetics.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
