Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Python Developer to automate critical workflows for Virtual Appliance validation across cloud and virtualization platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong programming background, hands-on experience with cloud platforms, deep virtualization expertise, and proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, networking fundamentals, and Linux system administration.
Key Responsibilities and Requirements
Cloud Platform Expertise
Demonstrate strong competency in AWS.
Experience with other cloud platforms such as Azure and GCP is highly desirable.
Programming and Scripting
Develop automation scripts using Python and Shell for system workflows and API integrations.
Demonstrate strong programming proficiency and problem-solving ability.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
Design, develop, and manage IaC using tools like Terraform, Ansible, and other cloud-native technologies.
Create and manage cloud-init scripts, user data, and post-deployment automation to support appliances.
Virtualization Expertise
Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms including VMware (required), Hyper-V, and KVM.
- Responsibilities include preparing and converting images for cloud and virtualization platforms, such as:
oConverting OVA to AMI, OVA to VHD, and between other image formats.
CI/CD Integration
Integrate automation workflows into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and GitHub CI.
Networking and Linux Fundamentals
Demonstrate a strong understanding of networking concepts such as DNS, HTTP/S, web servers, and anycast routing.
- Apply foundational Linux system administration skills including file system management, troubleshooting, and working with services like NTP and syslog.
