Step into the role of Vice President - Private Banking India Operationsat Barclays, where you will play a pivotal role to manage operations within a business area and maintain processes, risk management initiatives and compliance with relevant regulators. To be successful as an Vice President – PB India Trust Operations at Barclays, you should have below critical skills.

  • Lead operations for Private Banking across India, including client onboarding, KYC/CDD, additionally, manage Trust Operations – involving transaction processing and service delivery.
  • Drive operational efficiency, automation, and scalability across processes.
  • Ensure adherence to Indian regulatory requirements including RBI, SEBI, and global compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with Relationship Managers and Wealth Advisors to ensure high-quality client experience.
  • Deep knowledge of Indian Banking systems and regulatory landscape.
  • Expertise in Wealth Operations, Portfolio Management Services (PMS), and Trust Operations.
  • Strong understanding of Client Due Diligence (CDD) and KYC/AML processes.
  • Familiarity with Indian Taxation, including GST, TDS, and tax filing requirements.
  • Experience in regulatory reporting, client lifecycle management, and core banking systems.
  • Strategic mindset with hands-on execution capability.
  • 12–18 years of experience in banking operations, preferably in Indian Private Banking or Wealth Management.

Purpose of the role

To support PBWM with day-to-day processing, reviewing, reporting, and issue resolution.

Accountabilities

  • Support with day-to-day Private Bank and Wealth Management initiatives including processing, reviewing, reporting, and issue resolution with regards to accounts, products and services.
  • Support the management of the banks client relations to clearly identify their needs and provide a service that meets expectations.
  • Collaboration with teams across the bank to align and integrate Private Bank and Wealth Management processes.
  • Identification of areas for improvement and providing recommendations for change in Private Bank and Wealth Management processes.
  • Development and implementation of Private Bank and Wealth Management procedures and controls to mitigate risks and maintain operational efficiency.
  • Development of reports and presentations on Private Bank and Wealth Management performance and communicate findings to internal senior stakeholders.
  • Identification of industry trends and developments to implement best practice in Private Bank and Wealth Management Services.
  • Participation in projects and initiatives to improve Private Bank and Wealth Management efficiency and effectiveness.
