Job Title: HSE - Deputy Manager 

Reports to: Manager - HSE (Operational sites)

Location: Bhatia, Gujarat

About Employer: A leading MNC in the Renewable sector.

Job Summary:

The Deputy Manager HSE will be responsible for implementing the organization's HSE policy,

managing manpower metrics, providing HSE training, conducting inspections, ensuring

compliance, conducting risk assessments, preparing SOPs, and implementing permit-to-work

systems, promoting sustainability, overseeing emergency response plans, conducting mock

drills, and awareness campaigns to achieve the organisation's objective of zero injury.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. HSE Policy Implementation

  • Implementation of Organization HSE Policy, Life Saving Rules (LSR), and HSE requirements at the workplace to meet the organization's objective of ZERO injury at the workplace.

2. Training and Awareness

  • Provide HSE training to all employees at all levels to meet the ISO 45001 & 14001 requirements in our area of operation.

  • Conduct Mock drills to check the effectiveness of the Emergency Response Plan (ERP).

  • Conduct an Awareness campaign to promote HSE among employees.

3. Inspection and Compliance

  • Conduct all kinds of Health and Safety inspections of the workplace and ensure compliance to provide a healthy and safe workplace for all partners, contractors, employees, and workers.

4. Risk Assessment and SOPs

  • Conduct risk assessment of all activities and implement control measures.

  • Prepare SOPs for all construction-related activities to ensure safety.

5. PTW and Sustainability

  • Implement a Permit-to-Work (PTW) system to streamline project activity.

  • Calculate key indicators like Energy and Water consumption, and tree plantation at the project site to ensure sustainability parameters.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • BTech/MTech/Diploma – Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics & HSE diploma/Certifications.

  • 7 to 10 years of relevant experience working with renewables (wind projects), transmission & distribution, and power generation sectors

  • Understanding of Indian/Iso Standards.
