Assistant General Manager - JD
The AGM will provide visionary leadership over the entire digital delivery operation, managing
a team of 30+ professionals, ensuring strategic execution, and driving client and business
growth.
● Client Relationship & Strategic Partnership:
○ Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with key digital marketing clients,
positioning the agency as a trusted advisor.
○ Direct the smooth and effective onboarding of new clients, ensuring digital
strategy alignment and clear expectations from the outset.
○ Guarantee precision in laying out contractual obligations and complex digital
Statement of Work (SOWs) across all services (e.g., SEO, Media, Creative).
○ Serve as the executive escalation point, handling critical client issues with tact
and decisiveness to maintain strong relationships and client retention.
○ Proactively lead high-stakes contract renewals and negotiations, focusing on
long-term client value and service expansion.
● Team Leadership & Digital Management:
○ Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction to a 60-70 person digital
marketing and operations team.
○ Champion a culture of continuous learning and professional development,
ensuring the team stays ahead of industry trends and core digital competencies.
○ Strategically manage resource deployment and monitor performance metrics
across all digital service lines to ensure optimal output and accountability.
○ Lead the entire performance management cycle, conducting thorough reviews
and ensuring the team maintains high standards of digital execution and
strategy.
● Operational Excellence & Digital Delivery:
○ Define, implement, and enforce robust Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
for end-to-end digital campaign management (e.g., planning, execution,
reporting).
○ Ensure rigorous tracking and fulfillment of all data-driven digital marketing
deliverables and contractual obligations for a portfolio of clients.
○ Proactively identify potential operational bottlenecks and risks, establishing
effective contingency plans to ensure uninterrupted service delivery.
○ Drive seamless cross-functional synergy between internal digital teams (e.g.,
Media, Tech, Strategy) and external Black Cab Network Agencies or outsourced
vendors.
○ Oversee and streamline the financial workflow, diligently tracking and following
up on the clearance of client invoices to safeguard cash flow.
● Resource Allocation and Capability Management:
○ Strategically deploy and allocate specialized digital resources to retainer brands
and projects based on required skills and complexity.
○ Lead capacity planning, identifying immediate and future needs for specialized
digital talent and driving the recruitment plan based on attrition and project
pipeline.
○ Establish and maintain rigorous quality control standards for all new and existing
digital resources and outputs.
○ Monitor and ensure the optimal utilization of all digital team resources,
balancing workload efficiency with quality output.
● Business Development & Pitch Leadership:
○ Collaborating with the BD team to accelerate company revenue growth.
○ Direct the pitch management process; establishing and enforcing clear SOPs
for the development and delivery of winning digital proposals.
○ Strategically identify and capitalize on opportunities to expand services
(upsell/cross-sell) within the existing client base, focusing on integrated digital
solutions that meet evolving client needs.
Professional Experience & Expertise:
● Minimum 8-12 years of progressive experience in the Digital Marketing or Advertising
agency environment.
● Proven track record of managing and leading large operational teams.
● In-depth understanding of the full digital marketing ecosystem, including Paid
Media (Search, Social), SEO, Content Marketing, Creative Services, Analytics, and
Technology platforms.
● Demonstrable experience in P&L management, operational budgeting, and financial
oversight (tracking revenue, cost of delivery).
● Extensive experience in high-level client relationship management and successful
contract negotiation/renewal.
● Proven ability to lead and contribute to successful new business pitches and strategic
proposal development.
● Outstanding verbal and written communication skills for executive-level client
meetings and internal stakeholder management.
● Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across different departments and
seniority levels.
