Inviting applications for the role of   Consultant – Power BI Developer

We are seeking an experienced Power BI Developer to join our Managed Support team responsible for delivering strategic and operational reporting solutions. The role focuses on maintaining, optimizing, and enhancing Power BI dashboards and data models that integrate with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, Azure Data Platform, and other enterprise data sources.
You will collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and functional consultants to ensure data accuracy, visualization quality, and high-performance reporting in a live production environment

 Key Responsibilities     

•    Support & Maintenance:
o    Manage existing Power BI reports, datasets, and workspaces under AMS (Application Managed Services) model.
o    Troubleshoot data refresh issues, access permissions, and report performance problems.
o    Monitor and optimize Power BI service capacity and gateway configurations.

•    Enhancement & Optimization:
o    Implement enhancements to existing dashboards and develop new analytics solutions based on business requests.
o    Ensure best practices for DAX queries, data modeling, and report performance optimization.
o    Manage report lifecycle—development, testing, deployment, and change control.

•    Data Integration:
o    Connect Power BI to Dynamics 365 (Finance & SCM), Dataverse, Azure SQL, Data Lake, and Synapse Analytics.
o    Collaborate with data engineers for ETL/ELT processes and data quality improvements.

•    Stakeholder Engagement:
o    Work with functional and business teams to understand requirements and translate them into interactive and insightful reports.
o    Provide user training, documentation, and usage governance support.

•    Governance & Compliance:
o    Follow organizational standards for data security, environment management, and Power BI workspace governance.
o    Support periodic audits, data refresh schedules, and version control in alignment with AMS processes.

Qualifications we seek in you

Minimum Qualifications:

•    Experience\: Strong experience as a Power BI Developer in a managed support or enterprise environment.

•    Technical Proficiency:
o    Strong skills in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, DAX, and Power Query (M language).
o    Experience with data modeling (Star/Snowflake schemas) and optimizing dataset performance.
o    Good understanding of Azure Data Platform components (Data Lake, Synapse, SQL Database, Data Factory).
o    Familiarity with Dynamics 365 Finance & SCM data entities and Dataverse structure.

•    Additional Skills:
o    Knowledge of Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps) integration.
o    Understanding of security and role-based access in Power BI and D365 environments.
o    Exposure to DevOps pipelines for BI deployments is an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

•    Understanding of Finance and Supply Chain processes within Dynamics 365.

•    Experience in reporting automation and self-service BI enablement.

•    Familiarity with Fabric and Copilot for Power BI feature

•    Microsoft certifications in Power BI or Azure Data Engineer/Analyst are preferred.
