Job Title: Social Media Executive

(Designation may be Senior Social Media Executive based on experience)

Department: Marketing

Location: Corporate Office – Chennai

Purpose of the Role

The Social Media Executive will be responsible for planning, executing, and managing the company's social media presence across all digital platforms. The role focuses on enhancing brand visibility, customer engagement, and sales conversions through strategic content creation, campaign execution, influencer collaborations, and performance tracking. The position also supports offline store activities, reputation management, and coordination with internal teams and external agencies.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

1. Social Media Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies aligned with overall marketing and brand objectives.
  • Plan monthly and campaign-wise content calendars for offline promotions.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all social media platforms.

2. Content Creation & Management

  • Create, curate, and publish high-quality, engaging, and brand-aligned content (static, reels, videos, captions).
  • Coordinate with designers, photographers, videographers, and creative agencies for shoots and content production.
  • Support product launches, campaigns, store events, and festive promotions through digital content.

3. Platform Management

  • Manage official social media handles including
    Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn
    .
  • Ensure timely posting, monitoring, and optimization of content.
  • Maintain content hygiene and platform best practices.

4. Community Engagement & Reputation Management

  • Monitor comments, messages, mentions, and reviews across platforms.
  • Respond to customer queries, feedback, and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
  • Manage and monitor
    Google Reviews
    to maintain a positive brand reputation.

5. Influencer & Collaboration Management

  • Identify, onboard, and coordinate with influencers, content creators, models, and VJs.
  • Plan influencer campaigns aligned with brand objectives and campaign goals.
  • Track influencer performance and ROI.

6. Campaign Execution & Store Activity Support

  • Support store-level marketing activities, live events, launches, and promotions.
  • Coordinate with retail teams for content creation during store events.
  • Travel to store locations as required for shoots and activations.

7. Paid Promotions & Budget Coordination

  • Coordinate social media boosting and paid campaigns via Meta Business Suite.
  • Track and optimize spend across boosting, influencer collaborations, shoots, and agencies.
  • Ensure adherence to approved budgets.

8. Analytics, Reporting & Performance Tracking

  • Monitor and analyse performance metrics such as reach, engagement, follower growth, leads, and conversions.
  • Prepare periodic performance reports with insights and recommendations.
  • Use analytics to improve content and campaign effectiveness.

9. Trend Monitoring & Competitive Analysis

  • Stay updated with emerging social media trends, formats, and platform updates.
  • Conduct competitor analysis and benchmarking.
  • Implement relevant trends to enhance engagement and brand relevance.

10. Agency & Vendor Coordination

  • Coordinate with social media agencies, advertising partners, and vendors.
  • Ensure timely delivery, quality output, and alignment with brand objectives.

11. Crisis & Issue Management

  • Handle negative feedback, complaints, or social media crises effectively.
  • Escalate critical issues to management when required and ensure resolution.

  • Influencer campaign performance
  • Response time and customer sentiment
  • Campaign ROI and cost per engagement

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Experience

  • 2–3 years of hands-on experience in Social Media Management
  • Experience in
    Retail, Fashion, Lifestyle, or E-commerce
    preferred

Technical & Functional Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn
  • Proficiency in Meta Business Suite and social media analytics tools
  • Basic understanding of paid promotions and campaign optimization
  • Content planning and execution skills

Behavioural & Soft Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Creative thinking with a data-driven approach
  • Ability to multitask and work under deadlines
  • Team player with cross-functional coordination skills

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Certification in Digital Marketing / Social Media Management is an added advantage

Working Conditions

  • General shift – Office-based role
  • Flexible to work on Sundays (occasional)
  • travel to stores and event locations (includes outstation stores)
  • Hands-on involvement in shoots, events, and customer interactions
