
General Manager- Plasma Sourcing

Role Purpose
The incumbent will be responsible for managing a dynamic field team spread across India, focusing on strategic procurement of blood plasma. This pivotal role requires a blend of leadership acumen, market intelligence, and operational excellence to drive aggressive procurement targets in a highly competitive landscape
Key Accountabilities
Strategic Team Management
- Collaborate and develop a high-performance team of blood plasma procurement specialists
- Set and monitor clear performance metrics, drive team accountability and take ownership of delivering the weekly targets
- Implement innovative motivation and performance recognition programs spanning price, quantity, regular collections and referral network
- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback and augment the needed
Procurement Strategy
- Design and execute comprehensive procurement strategies
- Identify and develop strategic supplier relationships
- Negotiate contracts that optimize cost, quality, and supply reliability
- Develop risk mitigation strategies for raw material sourcing
- Build a strong voice and data support solution to augment the field teams efforts and assure sourcing plans are well executed.
Market Intelligence and Analysis
- Pre-empt the success of field team with timely intelligence, dynamic approaches and additional push as needed
- Continuously monitor market trends, pricing dynamics, and supply chain disruptions
- Develop real-time predictive models for plasma procurement quantities, pricing and relational dynamics
- Generate actionable insights for strategic decision-making for the field team and the strategic leadership team
- Prepare detailed reports for senior leadership
Operational Excellence
- Optimize procurement processes and implement technological solutions
- Ensure compliance with company policies and external regulations
- Manage budget allocations and control sourcing expenditures
- Ensure smooth and efficient fund flow with complete accountability and souring goals realizations
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives
Stakeholder Management
- Maintain strong relationships with standalone BB, hospitals and institutions, internal stakeholders, and external partners
- Represent the organization in critical negotiations and industry forums
- Resolve complex procurement challenges and conflicts
Education, Qualification & Experience
a. Post Graduation Degree in Business Administration or Management.
b. Total 20 years exp, 12-15 years of experience in frontend operations involving BD and KAM, with at least 3-4 years in senior leadership role
c. Exposure to the blood bank sector
d. Proven track record in managing field teams in healthcare, MedTech, and related industries
e. Experience in Business Development and Key Account Management
f. Plasma procurement experience is an added advantage
