Software Developer/Engineer – project Download server

Technical expertise needed:

  • .NET Framework and .NET 6,7,8 knowledge
  • Strategies for software deployment
  • Powershell and Batch scripting
  • Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL
  • Basic knowledge of Azure Cloud infrastructure/deployments
  • Basic Windows Server administration
  • Scrum and agile processes

    ​

    Day to day operations:

    Implement and integration of new data sources into the current Download server project:

  • Analyze requirements for new data sources
  • Design and develop integration processes using .NET and .NET Framework
  • Test and validate data integrity and compatibility with the existing system

    Optimization and customization of current .NET Updater and Data Extractor projects:

  • Profile and analyze performance bottlenecks
  • Refactor code for bette maintainability and efficiency
  • Implement customizations based on customer feedback or new requirements
  • Ensure backward compatibility and robust error handling

    Managing the current and deploying new versions to different environments TEST/PROD:

  • Coordinate with management to prepare for releases
  • Automate build and deployment processes using PowerShell and CI/CD pipelines
  • Monitor deployments to ensure they are successful and resolve any issues promptly
  • Maintain version control and document changes for each release

    Collaborating with different teams (in different time zones) to troubleshoot and resolve production issues:

  • Act as a point of contact for production incident management
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement fixes
  • Enhanve monitoring and logging to improve issue detection and resolution

    Enhancing system reliability and resilience:

  • Implement robust error-handling and retry mechanisms
  • Work on load balancing and system scaling strategies when needed

    Staying up-to-date with the latest .NET features aand best practices:

  • Regularly review and incorporate advancements in .NET
  • Experiment with new tools and libraries to improve development efficiency.
