Job Summary

We are looking for an API Integration Specialist with 47 years of experience who can design, develop, and manage GraphQL APIs for scalable web and mobile applications. The ideal candidate will have expertise in building, integrating, and optimizing GraphQL APIs with various data sources, SaaS systems, and third-party services. The role also requires team leadership, experience in API security, performance optimization, and proficiency in using PMS tools for task assignment and PR reviews.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a small team of developers focused on API integration and backend services.
  • Design, build, and maintain GraphQL APIs for web and mobile platforms.
  • Manage API authentication, authorization, and security (JWT, OAuth2, API Keys).
  • Optimize GraphQL queries and schemas for performance and scalability.
  • Collaborate with frontend teams (React, React Native) to ensure seamless data flow.
  • Develop and manage SaaS and CMS integrations via GraphQL.
  • Use and extend base work plugins and reusable modules to speed up development.
  • Track, assign, and monitor tasks via PMS tools (Jira)
  • Conduct code reviews, approve PRs, and handle merges for GraphQL integrations.
  • Ensure API documentation and schema management is always up-to-date.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint delivery.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  • 4-7 years of professional experience in API development and integrations.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in GraphQL (Apollo).
  • Knowledge of API security standards (JWT, OAuth2, rate limiting).
  • Familiarity with SaaS product development and CMS management.
  • Experience working with base work plugins and reusable libraries.
  • Strong knowledge of Git workflows (branching, PR reviews, merges).
  • Skilled in PMS tools (Jira).
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Leading GraphQL API integration projects in SaaS, travel, banking, or CMS driven platforms.
