Head Cashier

Job Title: Head Cashier – Retail Store

Job Summary:

We are looking for a responsible and customer-focused Head Cashier to oversee all front-end cash operations in our retail store. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth billing processes, manage cashier staff, maintain accurate cash handling procedures, and deliver excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and support all cashier team members during shifts
• Ensure accurate billing, cash collection, and daily reconciliation
• Train new cashiers on POS system, customer service, and store policies
• Handle escalated customer concerns and resolve issues promptly
• Monitor checkout counters to maintain speed, accuracy, and service quality
• Prepare daily cash reports and coordinate safe drops/bank deposits
• Ensure compliance with loss prevention and cash handling guidelines
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of billing counters
• Assist with store operations when needed (returns, exchanges, stock checks, etc.)
• Collaborate with store management to improve processes and customer experience

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Cashier or Head Cashier in a retail environment
• Strong knowledge of POS systems and cash handling procedures
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in supervising teams
• Basic computer skills (MS Excel, billing software, POS tools)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From ₹18,000.00 per month
