Location:kolkata/Goregaon or Thane  Experience:3 -5yrs Job Description: Functional Tester – Credit Cards & Payments Domain The Functional Tester – Credit Cards & Payments Domain plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability, accuracy, and compliance of payment systems within the financial services industry. This position requires deep expertise in the end -to -end credit card lifecycle and multi -channel payment processing, from card issuance and authorization to settlement and dispute resolution. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and executing comprehensive functional, integration, and end -to -end test scenarios across diverse payment environments—including POS, e -commerce, mobile wallets, UPI, and card networks—while ensuring adherence to industry standards such as ISO8583/ISO20022, PCI -DSS, and regulatory guidelines from RBI/NPCI. With a strong focus on test planning, defect management, and quality assurance, this role ensures that payment platforms deliver seamless, secure, and compliant experiences for users and stakeholders alike. ResponsibilitiesConduct functional, integration, system, and end -to -end testing for credit card platforms and payment applications.Validate the full card lifecycle, including application, issuance, authorization, clearing, settlement, collections, rewards, and chargebacks/disputes.Execute test cases for credit cards, debit cards, prepaid cards, virtual cards, and tokenized payment solutions.Test transaction flows across multiple channels: POS, e -commerce, mobile wallets, UPI, payment gateways, and card networks (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, RuPay).Analyze BRDs, FSDs, and user stories to develop detailed test plans, test cases, and traceability matrices (RTM).Document test execution results, defects, and status updates using tools such as JIRA, ALM, and Azure DevOps.Ensure comprehensive test coverage and compliance with quality benchmarks prior to release.Validate authorization logic, fraud detection mechanisms, risk rules, and transaction reconciliation processes.Verify settlement workflows, interchange fee calculations, billing cycles, interest computations, refunds, reversals, and adjustments.Maintain awareness of and ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks including RBI/NPCI guidelines and PCI -DSS standards. Requirements3–5+ years of hands -on experience in functional testing within banking, fintech, or payments domains.In -depth knowledge of credit card lifecycle management and payment processing operations.Proven experience testing payment gateways, POS transactions, and real -time payment systems.Solid understanding of ISO8583 and ISO20022 message formats for payment validation.Experience with chargeback processes, reconciliation flows, and settlement cycles.Proficiency in writing and executing SQL queries for backend data validation and test data verification.Hands -on experience with defect and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, ALM, Azure DevOps).Strong analytical, problem -solving, and documentation skills.Excellent verbal and written communication abilities with the capacity to collaborate across cross -functional teams.
