About the Role
As our Cafe Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our valued customers, setting the tone for their entire experience. Your primary focus will be providing exceptional in-person service and managing the smooth flow of the cafe.
Key Responsibilities
Warm Customer Welcome: Greet all customers with a friendly smile and provide an inviting atmosphere.
Order Management: Efficiently manage customer queues, take orders, and clearly communicate with the kitchen/barista staff.
Handling Inquiries: Answer customer questions regarding the menu, cafe services, and daily specials.
Payment Processing: Accurately handle cash and card transactions using the POS system.
Maintaining Ambiance: Ensure the reception and dining areas are clean, tidy, and well-presented at all times.
Problem Resolution: Professionally and calmly handle minor customer complaints or issues, escalating when necessary.
What We're Looking For
Excellent Communication Skills (Mandatory): Fluency in English and Malayalam is preferred, with a clear, polite, and enthusiastic speaking manner.
Customer Service Experience: Proven experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a cafe, restaurant, or retail environment.
Professionalism & Poise: A confident, well-groomed appearance and a consistently positive attitude.
Full-Time Availability: Must be able to commit to full-time working hours, including weekends and shifts as required.
Organization: Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
A Big Plus (Preferred Skills)
- Social Media Handling: Experience managing or contributing to a business's social media presence (e.g., Instagram, Facebook). This includes basic content posting, responding to messages, and engaging with the online community.
