Role Overview

As a Mid-Level Front-End Developer, you will play a crucial role in bringing our web applications to life. You will work closely with UI/UX designers and back-end engineers to translate design wireframes into high-quality, functional, and visually appealing code. This role requires a strong problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and a commitment to writing clean, maintainable, and reusable code.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and Implement User Interfaces:
     Translate UI/UX design wireframes and feature requirements into functional, mobile-friendly websites and applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, or
  • Collaboration:
     Work effectively within a cross-functional Agile team, collaborating with designers, product managers, and back-end developers to ensure seamless integration and alignment of goals and deliverables.
  • Performance Optimization:
     Optimize web applications for maximum speed, scalability, and performance, identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks using tools like browser DevTools and Google PageSpeed Insights.
  • Ensuring Quality and Accessibility:
     Ensure cross-browser compatibility and implement web accessibility standards (WCAG) to create inclusive experiences for all users.
  • Code Quality and Standards:
     Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code. Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices, and contribute to the development of coding guidelines.
  • Mentorship and Ownership:
     Take ownership of complex projects and potentially mentor junior developers, sharing knowledge and fostering team growth.
  • Stay Current:
     Research and implement the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve the development process and technologies.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience:
     2-5 years of proven work experience in front-end development or a similar role.
  • Core Technologies:
     Proficiency in core web development technologies: HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
  • Frameworks & Libraries:
     Extensive experience with at least one popular JavaScript framework/library (e.g., , Angular, or ).
  • Version Control:
     Hands-on experience with version control systems, specifically Git (GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket).
  • Responsive Design:
     Solid understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first development.
  • APIs:
     Familiarity with integrating front-end components with RESTful APIs and an understanding of asynchronous request handling.
  • Problem-Solving:
     Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical thinking skills.
  • Soft Skills:
     Excellent communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, and a proactive attitude towards challenges.
  • Education:
     A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Desired Qualifications (Nice to Have)

  • Experience with CSS preprocessors like Sass or LESS.
  • Knowledge of TypeScript.
  • Familiarity with front-end testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Cypress, or Mocha).
  • Experience with build tools such as Webpack, Gulp, or Grunt.
  • A strong online portfolio or GitHub profile showcasing a range of abilities and projects.
