An AEM (Adobe Experience Manager) Developer is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining Adobe Experience Manager-based solutions for digital marketing and e-commerce. The AEM Developer will work with a team of developers, project managers, and business stakeholders to design, develop, and deploy AEM solutions that meet business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and maintain AEM-based solutions for digital marketing and e-commerce

Work with business stakeholders, project managers, and other developers to gather requirements and design solutions

Write and maintain clean, scalable, and reusable code using Java and other relevant technologies

Integrate AEM with other systems and platforms, such as CRM, DAM, analytics, and marketing automation tools

Develop and maintain AEM templates, components, and workflows

Troubleshoot and debug AEM-based applications and resolve technical issues

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and reliability of AEM-based solutions

Stay up to date with the latest AEM and web development trends and best practices

Her explanation of the AEM architecture and multi-site management was proficient. However, the interview revealed significant knowledge gaps in modern AEM practices and performance tuning: 1 Performance/Infrastructure: Zero demonstrated knowledge of Dispatcher caching configuration or AEM Cloud Manager pipelines. 2 Integration: Limited experience with modern API integration (REST/GraphQL). 3 Product Suite: Lack of familiarity with specialized products like AEM Commerce or AEM Cloud Service specifics. The coding task demonstrated correct logical thinking for sequence counting, but the lack of a functional, shared solution due to external factors limits the final evaluation score for that section. Conclusion: The candidate is strong in traditional AEM CMS structure and content modeling but lacks crucial modern experience required for roles focused on performance optimization, cloud deployment, or commerce integrations.
