Job Summary: We are seeking a seasoned and dynamic Analytics Manager to lead and drive business charters and accompanying products by aligning with business and product stakeholders. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for analytics scoping, planning, and team management to ensure the success of our strategic initiatives. Responsibilities: Business and Product Alignment | Analytics Scoping and Planning: ● Understand and align business and product initiatives in collaboration with stakeholders. ● Shape business/product requirements into analytics/data scope. ● Formalize requirements into roadmaps and iterations, accounting for dependencies. Project Management: ● Drive project execution with effective prioritization and resource allocation. ● Resolve blockers through technical expertise, negotiation, and delegation. ● Ensure completeness of solutions through stand-ups and course-correction. KPIs and Metrics: ● Drive business-level KPIs. ● Ensure initiatives and product features align with and amplify those KPIs. ● Responsible for high-level design and data architecture impacting performance. ● Envision data APIs and establish proper ownership structures. Team Management: ● Manage a team of 5-8 members and a portfolio of 1-2 business charters. ● Conduct regular one-on-ones with reportees to ensure resource welfare. ● Provide periodic assessments and actionable feedback for progress. ● Recruit new members, collaborating effectively with the hiring team for long-term resource planning. Process Design: ● Formulate SLA benchmarks and set up processes for on-time ad-hoc requests resolution, issues tracking, and solving for inefficiencies. ● Establish robust code review practices as a nurturing tool. ● Set up communication channels (blog/newsletter) and feedback loops for knowledge sharing and stakeholder management. ● Explore the latest best practices and tools for constant upskilling. Analytics Stack:
● Analytics: Proficient in Python/R/SQL, Excel/PPT, Colab notebooks. ● Database: Experience with PostgreSQL, Amazon Redshift, DynamoDB, Aerospike. ● Warehouse: Familiarity with Amazon Redshift. ● ETL: Extensive experience in Python and custom-made solutions. ● Business Intelligence/Visualization: Competence in Metabase, Python/R libraries for location data, and Dash. ● Deployment Pipeline: Proficiency in Docker, Jenkins, AWS Lambda. ● Collaboration: Skills in Git, Dropbox Paper. Qualification Prerequisites: ● Minimum 7 years of analytics experience. ● Experience managing an Analytics team of at least 4 people end-to-end. ● Exposure to consumer-facing products (product organization experience preferred). ● Strong technical background with the ability to contribute to design and review. ● Familiarity with our current or a similar analytics stack.
