Database Engineer :

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB databases.
  • Optimize queries, indexing, and performance tuning for high-volume systems.
  • Manage backups, replication, and disaster recovery processes.
  • Ensure data security, integrity, and availability across environments.
  • Collaborate with developers and DevOps teams on schema design and deployment.
  • Monitor databases, automate maintenance tasks, and resolve performance issues.
  • Support database migrations and integrations between SQL and NoSQL systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
  • Strong command of SQL and query optimization techniques.
  • Experience with Linux environments, shell scripting, and database monitoring tools.
  • Familiarity with cloud databases (AWS RDS, Aurora, MongoDB Atlas).
  • Understanding of data modeling, normalization, and ETL workflows.

Skills

  • Advanced knowledge of database architecture and performance tuning.
  • Experience with replication, high availability, and clustering setups.
  • Knowledge of DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD).
  • Proficiency in data migration and backup automation.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
