Role & responsibilities

• Responsible for ensuring everyone in the company complies with Environment, Health, and Safety laws.
• Establishing policies that will create and maintain a safe workplace. Must have excellent attention to detail to identify hazards, also be able to discover opportunities for improving conditions and execute various EHS programs.
• Ability to communicate guidelines to a multidisciplinary workforce is essential.
• The goal is to ensure the workplace meets all legal expectations and actively supports occupational Health, Safety and Environment.
• Investigating incidents, injuries, or occupational diseases to determine causes and preventive measures.
• Periodical mock-drill and fire-drill and taking corrective and preventive actions on lapses found through the drill.
• Conducting the new employee's occupational health, safety, and environmental orientation.
• Managing the procurement of personal protective equipment and safety equipment inventory in a financially responsible manner.
• Inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety regulatory compliance.
• Devising Operational Control Procedures, Work Instructions, Environmental management programs, Objectives and Targets based on the risk factors.
• Monitoring safety KPI and always look for improvement in it and reporting the KPIs, analyze trends and ensuring progress.

Preferred candidate profile

12-15 years of experience in Food industry & Graduate/Postgraduate in Industrial Safety from a recognized University
