- Patient Care:
- Provide direct patient care, including monitoring vitals, administering medications, and ensuring comfort.
- Assist doctors in examinations, procedures, and emergency management.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records, charts, and reports.
- Clinical Duties:
- Administer injections, IV fluids, and dressings as per physician's orders.
- Prepare patients for diagnostic tests, surgical procedures, and transfers.
- Monitor post-operative and critically ill patients, reporting any changes promptly.
- Medication & Equipment Management:
- Ensure correct storage, handling, and administration of medicines.
- Check and maintain medical supplies, instruments, and equipment in assigned areas.
- Report malfunctioning or shortage of equipment to the supervisor.
- Infection Control & Safety:
- Follow hospital infection control protocols and universal precautions.
- Maintain hygiene and cleanliness in wards, ICU, OPD, and other patient areas.
- Educate patients and attendants on hygiene, nutrition, and discharge care.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain patient case sheets, nursing notes, and handover reports.
- Record admissions, discharges, and transfers as per hospital policy.
- Report adverse events, patient incidents, and near misses to supervisors.
- Teamwork & Professionalism:
- Work collaboratively with doctors, paramedical staff, and hospital administration.
- Provide guidance and support to junior nurses and trainees.
- Demonstrate empathy, compassion, and professionalism at all times.
