Job Title: Consultant Cardiologist (Full-Time)
Department: Cardiology
Qualification: DM in Cardiology (Recognized University)
Experience: Preferred 1+ year post-DM (Freshers may also apply)
Salary: As per hospital norms / Negotiable
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Patient Care:
- Diagnose and treat patients with heart-related diseases such as coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, hypertension, and valvular disorders.
- Perform cardiac evaluations including ECG, 2D Echo, Stress Tests, Holter Monitoring, and other relevant investigations.
- Attend to cardiac emergencies promptly including chest pain, myocardial infarction, etc.
- Provide both outpatient and inpatient cardiac care.
2. Interventional and Non-Interventional Procedures:
- Perform or supervise non-invasive and invasive cardiology procedures depending on facility availability.
- If interventional setup exists: perform angiography, angioplasty, pacemaker implantation, etc.
3. Clinical Coordination:
- Collaborate with ICU, Emergency, and Surgery teams for cardiac patient management.
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and provide cardiac input for pre- and post-operative patients.
4. Patient Education & Counseling:
- Counsel patients and families on cardiac conditions, treatment options, lifestyle changes, and long-term management.
- Provide support and information on secondary prevention strategies for cardiac events.
5. Administrative & Quality Roles:
- Maintain proper documentation and patient records as per hospital protocols.
- Adhere to NABH and hospital standards in clinical care.
- Participate in hospital-based quality improvement and mortality audits.
