Role Summary

The Senior SAP ABAP Developer is responsible for the end-to-end development lifecycle, from requirement gathering to delivery. This role collaborates closely with functional consultants and business end users to design and develop solutions that meet business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with functional consultants and business users to discover, design, and develop SAP ABAP solutions.
  • Lead the development, testing, and delivery of ABAP programs and enhancements.
  • Ensure adherence to coding standards and naming conventions.
  • Assist in testing and provide operating controls to ensure development requirements are satisfied.
  • Analyze high-level business processes and requirements to deliver effective technical solutions.
  • Commit to continuous improvement of processes and technical skills.
  • Participate in quality management tasks such as code reviews, version management, and transport management.
  • Work within Scrum or Agile project frameworks.

Job Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology or related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in SAP ABAP implementation and support.
  • Proven track record of leading SAP projects.
  • Experience with SAP ERP and related modules (e.g., MM, SD, WM).

Certifications

  • SAP certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of Scrum or Agile methodologies is an advantage.

Skills

  • Deep knowledge of SAP ABAP functionalities.
  • Experience in development quality management (code reviews, SQL trace, version management).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in additional languages is an advantage.
