About Us

Deccan AI is a model training and eval startup headquartered in the Bay Area. We are founded by IIT Bombay, IIM Ahmedabad and ex-Google alumni, and work with some of the top AI frontier labs in the world, e.g. Google Deepmind, Snowflake, and many more. We are backed by Prosus Ventures, and our India delivery office is in Hyderabad. Most of our roles are on-site i.e. Bay Area / Hyderabad.

About the Role

Deccan AI is seeking an
Annotation Expert
with a strong foundation in data annotation and evaluation workflows (SFT + Eval) and should be able to present technical ideas with clarity and confidence.

This role involves hands-on project execution, cross-functional collaboration, and the opportunity to work on real-world AI data initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute data annotation and evaluation (SFT + Eval) projects with precision and consistency.
  • Knowledge of
    Python
    ,
    REST / FastAPI
    ,
    JSON
    , and
    SQL databases
    for working across technical use cases.
  • Collaborate with the client to streamline annotation workflow and ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Communicate technical updates and insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Take ownership of assigned projects and contribute to process and tooling improvements.
