Role Overview

Whispering Woods Resort is seeking an
experienced, guest-focused, and proactive Restaurant Manager
to lead our Food & Beverage operations. This role is central to creating memorable dining experiences, ensuring impeccable service, and maximizing the performance of the restaurant function.

The Restaurant Manager will oversee daily operations, manage the restaurant team, and coordinate with the kitchen, bar, and events departments to deliver seamless service. The ideal candidate will bring
strong leadership, organizational skills, and hospitality expertise
, ensuring that our guests consistently receive exceptional service while maintaining financial performance. Prior experience in hotels or resorts is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Restaurant Operations


• Direct and oversee day-to-day restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service across breakfast, lunch, and dinner shifts.


• Establish, implement, and monitor
service standards, SOPs, and hygiene protocols
to maintain the highest quality of service.


• Manage restaurant inventory, including procurement, stock control, and vendor relations.


• Collaborate with the
kitchen and bar teams
for efficient and timely service execution.


• Ensure compliance with FSSAI and other regulatory standards.

Guest Experience & Service Excellence


• Guarantee
high levels of guest satisfaction
by ensuring professional, attentive, and personalized service.


• Act as the first point of contact for guest feedback and resolve complaints with efficiency and discretion.


• Develop initiatives to elevate dining experiences, encourage repeat patronage, and enhance guest loyalty.


• Actively promote and upsell food, beverages, and other resort services to
maximize per-guest revenue
.

Team Leadership & Training


• Lead, mentor, and motivate the restaurant team, including captains, supervisors, and stewards.


• Conduct regular pre-shift briefings and ensure staff adhere to grooming standards and service etiquette.


• Train staff in guest handling, upselling techniques, and problem resolution to enhance service delivery.


• Monitor employee performance and provide constructive feedback to drive continuous improvement.


• Foster a culture of
teamwork, accountability, and professionalism
within the department.

Financial Management & Reporting


• Track daily sales, occupancy-linked restaurant performance, and guest spending patterns.


• Prepare accurate performance reports and submit insights to management.


• Monitor budgets, control expenses, and ensure healthy restaurant profitability.


• Support management with
data-driven strategies
to increase revenue and minimize wastage.

Event & Banquet Support


• Plan, manage, and oversee
banquets, special events, and resort-wide dining activities
.


• Coordinate with the events and operations teams to ensure flawless execution.


• Ensure customized service setups for weddings, corporate offsites, and group events.


• Manage staffing and resource allocation to meet event-specific requirements.

Requirements


• Proven experience as a
Restaurant Manager or Assistant Restaurant Manager
in hotels, resorts, or hospitality establishments.


• Strong leadership, organizational, and multitasking skills.


• Excellent communication skills in
English, Hindi, and Marathi
.


• In-depth knowledge of
F&B operations, inventory management, and guest service standards
.


• Presentable, polished, and guest-oriented personality with a proactive mindset.


• Ability to manage stress, solve problems quickly, and maintain service standards during high-pressure situations.


• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays in line with hospitality schedules.
