Job Summary:
The Agronomist is responsible for providing technical support to farmers, improving crop productivity, and promoting sustainable agricultural practices. The role also includes enrolling new customers (farmers or dealers) to the company and ensuring long-term engagement through technical guidance and field support.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular field visits to monitor crop conditions and provide agronomic advice.
- Develop and implement crop management plans based on soil and climate conditions.
- Guide farmers on proper use of fertilizers, pesticides, and irrigation practices.
- Conduct soil testing, crop sampling, and pest/disease assessments.
- Coordinate with research and development teams for new crop trials.
- Maintain detailed records of field performance and submit technical reports.
- Train and support field staff and farmers in modern agricultural methods.
- Identify and resolve issues related to crop growth, soil fertility, and pest control.
- Enroll new customers (farmers, dealers, or clients) to the company and build strong relationships.
- Collect feedback from customers and provide insights to management.
- Stay updated with the latest agricultural technologies and sustainable practices.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, or related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in agronomy, field advisory, or customer engagement (freshers may also apply).
- Strong knowledge of soil science, crop nutrition, and pest management.
- Good communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills.
- Ability to analyze field data and prepare detailed reports.
- Willingness to travel extensively to field and customer locations.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher
Pay: ₹12, ₹21,000.00 per month
