Services Engineer - Solar Power

Job Summary: Natural Power is seeking a skilled and experienced Services Engineer with a strong background in solar power systems. The ideal candidate will be a male professional with at least two years of experience in the solar energy sector. This role involves the full lifecycle of solar projects, from pre-sales technical support to installation, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance. The Services Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of solar systems for residential, commercial, and industrial clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Design and Planning: Collaborate with the sales and design teams to understand client requirements and assist in creating technical drawings, single-line diagrams, and system layouts for solar photovoltaic (PV) and thermal systems.
  • Installation & Commissioning: Oversee and provide technical direction to installation teams, ensuring that projects are executed according to design specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.
  • Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections, diagnostics, and performance monitoring of installed solar systems. Identify, troubleshoot, and repair any issues related to inverters, panels, wiring, and other components.
  • Customer Support: Provide exceptional technical support to clients, addressing their queries and concerns, and training them on the operation and maintenance of their solar systems.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all service activities, including site assessments, work logs, and performance reports.
  • Compliance: Ensure all installations and service work comply with relevant local regulations, safety standards, and company quality procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or a related engineering field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in the solar power industry, specifically in the installation, commissioning, and servicing of solar systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of solar PV system components, including solar panels, inverters, batteries, and mounting structures.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical drawings.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to diagnose technical issues on-site.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various project sites as needed.
  • The candidate must be a male.
