We are looking for a dynamic and persuasive Academic Counselor to join our Admissions Team at IIFD. The ideal candidate will be responsible for converting student inquiries into successful admissions while providing guidance on courses, eligibility, career paths, and the IIFD learning experience. This role involves both sales and counseling skills to build strong rapport with prospective students and parents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle walk-ins, phone calls, WhatsApp queries, and online leads to provide timely and accurate course information.
  • Follow up with prospective students and maintain a robust admission pipeline using CRM tools.
  • Convert inquiries into admissions by presenting course details and USPs of IIFD convincingly.
  • Counsel students on career paths in Fashion, Interior, Textile, and related creative fields.
  • Guide students through the admission process, including application forms, document submissions, and fee payments.
  • Conduct campus tours and represent the institute at education fairs, school visits, and promotional events.
  • Achieve monthly admission and revenue targets set by the management.
  • Maintain records of student interactions and report on conversion progress.
  • Coordinate with the academic and marketing teams to ensure seamless onboarding of students.

Required Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (English & Hindi; Bengali preferred for Kolkata campus).
  • Strong persuasion and sales ability.
  • Ability to handle pressure and meet targets.
  • Good understanding of the education sector, especially in fashion and design.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, CRM systems, WhatsApp Web, and email tools.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in any field (Education/Marketing/Design background is a plus).
  • Experience in sales, counseling, or admissions is highly desirable.
