About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Shopify App Developer to design, build, and maintain custom Shopify apps and integrations that enhance merchant experience and improve business processes. You will work closely with our product, design, and e-commerce teams to develop scalable solutions using Shopify's APIs, app extensions, and modern web technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop custom Shopify apps (private or public) using PHP as the primary backend language.
  • Build integrations with Shopify's Admin API, Storefront API, and GraphQL/REST APIs.
  • Work with Shopify Liquid to extend and customize theme functionality when needed.
  • Build secure authentication flows (OAuth, access token handling, session management).
  • Integrate external services such as payment gateways, ERP/CRM systems, marketing automation tools, etc.
  • Maintain clean, structured, and well-documented code.
  • Identify and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and fix app-related issues.
  • Monitor Shopify API releases and ensure compatibility with new Shopify platform updates.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience building Shopify apps or custom Shopify integrations.
  • Strong proficiency in PHP (Laravel)
  • Experience working with REST & GraphQL APIs.
  • Good understanding of Shopify Liquid template language.
  • Familiarity with MySQL or other relational databases.
  • Experience with Git and version control.
