Position Overview:The Senior Video Editor is a key member of the creative production team, responsible for leading post-production workflows and ensuring the delivery of visually compelling, story-driven, and brand-aligned video content. This role requires both technical mastery of editing software and a deep creative sensibility developed through extensive experience in the creative agency industry.

The ideal candidate is a storyteller at heart—able to bring abstract ideas to life through visual rhythm, pacing, and emotional tone—while managing multiple projects under tight deadlines. They will also mentor junior editors, collaborate with directors, producers, and motion designers, and uphold high creative standards across all video outputs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Creative Editing & Storytelling

• Conceptualize, structure, and edit a variety of video content, including brand films, digital campaigns, commercials, social content, and corporate storytelling.
• Ensure every piece delivers strong narrative flow, pacing, and visual continuity aligned with brand tone and campaign objectives.
• Enhance footage through color grading, sound design, and motion graphics integration.
• Partner closely with creative directors and copywriters to refine storytelling and bring creative concepts to life.

2. Technical Excellence

• Expertly operate editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, and other relevant software.
• Oversee the entire post-production pipeline—ingest, edit, motion, color, mix, and master.
• Maintain organized file management and version control across multiple projects.
• Implement efficient workflows, optimizing performance and turnaround times for large-scale campaigns.
• Use AI-powered tools for tasks such as auto-transcription, captioning, voice enhancement, shot selection, and content tagging.
• Leverage AI for rapid rough cuts, color suggestions, sound cleanup, or platform-specific resizing when appropriate.

3. Collaboration & Leadership

• Work closely with the Creative team and project managers to translate creative briefs into impactful final edits.
• Lead review sessions and provide expert feedback to junior editors and freelancers.
• Mentor and train team members in both creative and technical editing techniques.
• Contribute to brainstorming sessions and pitch decks by showcasing creative visual approaches.

4. Quality Control & Brand Consistency

• Maintain the highest level of visual quality, storytelling precision, and attention to detail.
• Ensure all outputs adhere to brand guidelines and client expectations.
• Review deliverables before final submission to guarantee quality, continuity, and compliance with technical specs.
• Ensure all AI-assisted outputs are reviewed for accuracy, authenticity, and brand or content integrity.

5. Innovation & Trend Awareness

• Stay current with video editing trends, emerging formats (vertical/reels, AR, interactive), and new editing tools.
• Proactively propose fresh creative approaches to elevate the agency's visual output.
• Collaborate with the motion design and sound teams to experiment with hybrid styles and cinematic techniques.

Qualifications & Experience

• 6–10 years of experience in video editing within creative agencies, film production houses, or content studios.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating creative storytelling, cinematic pacing, and campaign-based editing.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, especially Premiere Pro and After Effects.
• Advanced understanding of color grading, sound design, and video compression standards.
• Excellent sense of timing, visual composition, and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset.
