Store Incharge- Construction

Key Responsibilities:

• Material Management:
• Receive, verify, and record incoming materials as per purchase orders and delivery challans.
• Ensure proper stacking, labeling, and safe storage of all materials.
• Issue materials to various departments/sites based on material requisitions.
• Inventory Control:
• Maintain accurate stock records (manual and computerized).
• Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile discrepancies.
• Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels to avoid shortages or overstocking.
• Documentation & Records:
• Maintain GRNs (Goods Receipt Notes), MRNs, issue slips, and stock registers.
• Coordinate with the accounts and purchase departments for bill verification and approvals.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports.
• Coordination:
• Liaise with site engineers, procurement, and accounts teams for material planning and documentation.
• Coordinate with vendors for material returns, replacements, or shortages.
• Safety & Housekeeping:
• Ensure proper housekeeping and safety of materials in the store.
• Comply with company policies and safety regulations.
• System & Compliance:
• Use ERP or inventory software for material tracking.
• Ensure compliance with audit and documentation requirements.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of construction materials (cement, steel, aggregates, plumbing, electrical, etc.)
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
• Basic computer knowledge (Excel/ERP/SAP)

Qualification & Experience:

• Education: Diploma / Graduate in Civil Engineering, Material Management, or related field
• Experience: 5–7 years of experience as Storekeeper / Store Incharge in the construction industry
