Work Experience: 12+ years in hot forging industry; 5+ years in aerospace/defence sector preferred

Qualification: Diploma or Bachelors degree in Mechanical / Production / Metallurgical Engineering

CTC: 5 to 9 LPA, depends on work experience and last CTC

Gender: Male, 30-40 yrs

Preferred Industry: Engineering / Manufacturing Industry Hot Forging

Job Description:

Role Scope: We are seeking a senior professional in hot forging production with strong exposure to aerospace manufacturing requirements. The candidate should be capable of handling the entire forging department operations and possess in-depth knowledge of forging processes, equipment, and aerospace standards.

Responsibilities & Key Result Area:

• Familiarity with hot forging of aerospace-grade alloys (stainless steels, aluminium, titanium, nickel alloys.
• Good understanding of aerospace quality systems (AS9100, NADCAP, AMS, Boeing/Airbus standards. Ability to lead and supervise forging shop operations, including manpower, productivity, and quality control.
• Strong practical knowledge of forging equipment such as screw presses, hydraulic presses, up setters, and trimming/heat treatment equipment.
• Oversee implementation of predictive and preventive maintenance schedules; maintain maintenance logs and records for compliance and audit purposes.
• Proven experience in process optimization, defect analysis, and die/tooling management.
• Lead, mentor, and train a team of production staff, fostering a positive work environment and professional development.
• Experience in preparing technical documentation and supporting to production team.
• Responsible for fulfilling QMS documentation requirements and effective implementation of QMS on shopfloor.
• Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations and protocols within the production area.
• Monitor and optimize forging parameters, equipment, and workflow to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality.
• Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure products meet industry standards and specifications.
• Analyze production data, prepare reports for management, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• A proactive approach to identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing new strategies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address production issues and implement corrective actions.

Preferred candidate profile :

Technical Skills:

• Knowledge and working of IATF16949, ISO9001, NADCAP and AS9100 Aerospace requirements standards.
• Familiarity with Aerospace and automotive industry forging requirements.
• Experience in lean manufacturing, 5S, TPM, or Kaizen activities.
• Knowledge of ERP/SAP Production modules is additional advantage.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, and leadership abilities.
