Responsibilities

• Build tools and process to automate deployment, management, and maintenance functions in support of GCP cloud-based systems and applications
• Provide System troubleshooting and problem resolution across various application domains and platforms
• Provision of critical system security by leveraging best practices and prolific cloud security solutions
• Provide recommendations for architecture and process improvements.
• Definition and deployment of systems for metrics, logging, and monitoring on GCP platform.
• Designing, maintenance and management of tools for automation of different operational processes
• Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and fixes
• Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended
• Planning projects and being involved in project management decisions
• Perform root cause analysis of production errors and resolve technical issues
• Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, or technical/business discipline
• 7 years of experience as a DevOps engineer or in a similar software engineering role
• 7 years' experience implementing DevOps practices that include implementing CICD pipelines using Jenkins, Docker, Git and GitHub workflows, CI/CD standard processes and containerization technologies.
• 7+ years of overall experience in automation frameworks and supporting tools; writing code to automate the management of Infrastructure services; testing and deploying infrastructure templates with CI/CD automation
• 5 years of experience in coding languages that include Java, Java Script, Python, C++, SQL
• 5+ years of experience implementing GCP core services, including containerization, Anthos, Kubernetes, Virtual Machines, Storage functions, Big Query, services, APIs, Etc. and best practices
• 3 years' experience developing with IAC technologies such as Terraform and Ansible scripts to provision and manage cloud infrastructure in GCP
• Experience in defining and implementing Disaster Recovery and High Availability strategies across GCP regions
• Experience working with Geospatial technologies such as tile servers and tile set generation providers is a plus. Mapbox and Carto experience a plus.
• Familiarity with collaboration tools like Jira and Confluence
• Collaborating with development teams to ensure efficient application deployment and monitoring processes.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Manage your own time and work well both independently and as part of a team
