  • Design and develop 3D wiring harness routing using Creo as per vehicle packaging and serviceability requirements.
  • Prepare 2D harness drawings including wiring layouts, connector details, and harness breakouts using internal design standards and guidelines.
  • Select appropriate wires, fuses, connectors, sleeves, and terminals based on circuit requirements and durability.
  • Collaborate with system engineers and suppliers to integrate components such as instrument cluster, starter motor, horn, RR unit, relays, and switches.
  • Work on component placement in the vehicle ensuring optimal layout, minimum interference, and easy access for assembly and service.
  • Create and manage Bill of Materials (BOM) in line with project requirements.
  • Use PLM tools (e.g., Windchill or Teamcenter) to manage design versions, drawing releases, and change requests.
  • Ensure all harness designs follow internal harness design guidelines and comply with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate with testing and validation teams for physical validation and support issue resolution.
  • Detail component design / specification, DVP & DFMEA
  • Participate in cost optimization, communization, and weight reduction efforts through design improvements.
